  • The Universe has finally conspired and before I realized it I found myself exchanging correspondence and interesting photos with someone who lives in GMT +5.5.

I hope I do justice by sharing the photos sent to me when he went to a garden in the middle of the city over the weekend.

I’ve never read a book in a park. I would love to try that someday.

I don’t know why but upon seeing this tree I remembered Ghandi.

Three things in one photo: cricket, breakfast, and chat.

Last Saturday, I did not go to the mall with this outfit. I went to the town necropolis to visit my grandmother’s grave. It was the first time I went there with a smile on my face in four years that she’s not with us anymore. Maybe I knew that this time, I have happy stories to tell. I talked to her like how we used to in my heart. I whispered everything in the wind because I know that my words will reach her. I miss her smile and her voice.

Four years. It feels like forever.

  • The last quarter of the year has started and I still haven’t moved out of this small pond. At the start of the year I have fervently expressed in my journal and on my numerous tweets about quitting my job and moving out of the city. However, my personal problem entails planning where to go next. Handing out the resignation letter is easier than knowing where you’ll head from here. As of this writing, I cannot even tell you what exactly I want to do in the next two years or even months. I might end up a bum, who knows? I am gradually embracing the possibility that I will take a few months off on my own to do some soul searching, completely increasing the space between me and my folks.

I am not a goal-oriented person but given this situation, I am considering to nail those points and make them happen.  Just like an inspiring blogger, Cat Juan, I want to be a happy guppy, too.

  • No Art Palm Project tonight. Instead, I am sharing here some sketches I randomly did last year and the past few months. Sketching is my drug-slash-nicotine-slash-escape-route lately.  The last one I did just fifteen minutes ago.

  • #4: Secrets

Revealed. Secrets have been revealed today. Not all, though. I still have the last card. It’s everybody’s secret.

A year ago, I found this art book “Light of India: A Conflagration of Indian Matchbox Art” hidden in a neat pile of books on sale in a local bookstore. I have a keen eye for bright contrasting colors especially if it is the cover of a book.I haven’t really read a single word inside it, I just scanned the whole thing and drool over the details and the culture bursting into life in every page. Also, it’s India and I’m planning to go there next year.
